General warranty conditions

Dear Sirs,

The ORIMED online shop guarantees that the steel tools offered are free from any defects in material and workmanship.

For the tools supplied, the shop provides a 24-month guarantee from the time of purchase. 

A prerequisite for the guarantee is that the instruments are used as intended and are properly prepared, handled and sterilised in accordance with the information in the sterilisation instructions.

In the event of a defect within the guarantee period, please send the sterilised product, together with information on the type of defect found, to the address in the footer of the general guarantee conditions. Please enclose a copy of the proof of purchase with your shipment.

The guarantee does not cover:

• Wear and tear resulting from the normal course of operation (e.g. dulling of tool blades, wear and tear of working part surfaces, wear and tear of fasteners and resulting excessive joint clearances);
• Misuse, not intended use;
• Mechanical damage due to overloading;
• Corrosion damage (e.g. pitting, surface discolouration) caused by contact with aggressive chemicals (e.g. salt solutions);
• Improper handling in the cleaning and maintenance process when preparing them for reuse or for storage by: 
  • inadequate disinfectants and cleaning products,
  • inappropriate use of disinfectants,
  • inadequate washing and cleaning methods,
  • lack of maintenance (lubrication) of the fasteners or use of inadequate maintenance products;
• Inadequate sterilisation, e.g. by inadequate quality of sterilising steam or incorrect parameters of the sterilisation process, etc.;
• Decolourisation of hard insoles;
• Attempts at self-repair or repair by an unauthorised service provider.

It is up to the user to determine the suitability of the instrument for a particular procedure. ORIMED accepts no liability for damage resulting from the use of instruments found to be defective or which have undergone any modification by the user.
